A glossy purple podded bean. A colorful addition to the garden, pods are delicious and turn dark green when cooked. Pods are round, stringless and 5 1/2 to 6 inches long at maturity. 54 days. Vivid burgundy pods are 5 in. long and amaze all who see them. When used raw, they add rich color to salads. Germinates in cool soil and resists beetles. Great for freezing, canning or eating fresh.
