One year we planted every variety of bean we carry. This was indisputably the best among everyone who tried it fresh picked, so good in fact that we don't know how they taste after freezing, they never make it that far. We then turned our in-store pole bean customers on to it, and they agreed. It is now our best selling bean.This vigorous pole bean has large dark green pods with blue/purple streaks. Also known as preacher bean, it is reminiscent of the Cascade & Oregon giant type pole beans. It has good flavor and drought resistance. Pick when 6 to 7 inches long for best eating. Beans can also be allowed to fully mature for dry use. Approximately 75 days to maturity.
